Usher paid out $1.1 million to his former lover

The singer, real name Usher Raymond IV, paid out $1.1 million to his former lover and celebrity stylist after allegedly giving her the STD – according to documents obtained by Radar Online.

According to the documents, the Yeah singer’s herpes diagnosis occurred between 2009-10.
The documents claim the 38 year old was aware he had the incurable disease before having repeated unprotected sex with the woman in 2012.
She has since said her body "has been ruined" following what happened. Usher, who is worth an estimated £138 million, didn’t reveal he had the disease while having sexual intercourse with the woman in question – despite "greenish discharge" emerging from his penis, the documents claim.

The document reads: "Believing Raymond’s statements that (the discharge) had been nothing and cleared up, (she) continued her relationship."

Weeks after the pair’s first encounter – where they allegedly shared more sex-filled evenings – the woman in question began suffering from fevers, chills and vaginal sores, and was diagnosed with herpes.
Where Usher lives in California, it’s against the law to "knowingly or recklessly transmit a sexually transmitted disease (STD)."

The court documents claim that after the anonymous female realised she had the incurable virus, the Burn singer was: "very apologetic and promised to figure things out". They also feature a cheque for the amount of $2,754, to pay for the woman’s medical expenses in April 2012.

The lawsuit accuses the singer of "consciously and purposefully" withholding his diagnosis, and continuing to engage in sexual activity with her.

The lawsuit dates back to five years ago in 2012, and was settled for $1.1m – or £800,000 – at the time.
